Heat is almost instantaneous and very easy to control. - Ambiance and efficiency A Wood burner will emit heat for a long time after it has actually gone out. Something that gas fires don’t do. There’s nothing like sitting in front of a wood burner.

Wood burners come in all shapes and sizes now and look decorative, they have a certain magnetic quality. They are great for social gatherings as many people, whether it’s at home or in a restaurant, tend to gather around the open fire as a social activity.
